GolfBuddy Tour GPS
The GolfBuddy Tour Golf GPS is one of the most user friendly and simple golf gps units. When you first put this gps system in your hand you notice only 2 buttons. This makes for an amazingly human friendly interface but does lack some of the features of the other tops models. The Dynamic Green View is a really cool feature that changes the view of the green depending on your approach angle. The GolfBuddy Tour also comes fully loaded with thousands of golf courses from across America. If your course is not included, simply download the course without the worry of signing up for a costly membership.

Sonocaddie V300
The Sonocaddie V300 is a feature packed golf GPS system. The first thing you will notice is the great overhead hole images on the large bright screen. The V300 will give you the distance to pin from any location on the course and will also provide immediate feedback of your last shot. This is a huge help in evaluating your swing and selecting the correct club on future shots. Like many other GPS systems, the Sonocaddie v300 also has a scoring feature to track your game and score. However, Sonocaddie has taken this feature much further. Not only can you see total score, greens in regulation, fairways hit and number of pars and birdies. The unit will store up to 30 courses in internal memory. Thousands of courses are available for download for a $29 yearly membership.

Garmin Approach G5 Golf GPS
The Garmin Approach G5 looks more like an iPhone than a golf gps device. The unit is sleek and the and feels incredible solid. The screen provides a bright, clear image and is one of the few handheld gps units with a touchscreen. Best of all the gps unit is waterproof and the interface is very user friendly.
Another great feature of the Garmin Approach G5 is that it is ready to go out of the box. There is no need to update firmware or download course data. Just throw in a couple of AA's and go golfing. The preloaded courses also mean that you don't need to spend another $30 on a membership to download courses.

Upro Golf GPS
The Upro is Callaway Golf's first entry into the golf gps device race. The super bright color screen typically grabs your attention first. The large and colorful screen is great for the aerial course photos and flyovers. These flyovers play at the beginning of each hole and give you a bird's eye view of the entire hole. This feature takes all doubt out of the appropriate landing area and where any hazards may be hiding. Callaway has also used satelite locking technology that allows for a much faster startup time. They also have the patent pending SmartView Technology which automatically rotates your device Upro gps view to display the most appropriate view to your location on the hole.

Mar 16, 2009 SkyGolf
The SkyCaddie SG5 is currently the top of the line model from SkyGolf. Its primary feature is the patented Intelligreen technology. This feature provides golfers the exact depth and shape of the green no matter what the approach angle. This might come in handy when you are going for that tough pin placement.
