The Sonocaddie V300 is a feature packed golf GPS system.  The first thing you will notice is the great overhead hole images on the large bright screen.  The V300 will give you the distance to pin from any location on the course and will also provide immediate feedback of your last shot.  This is a huge help in evaluating your swing and selecting the correct club on future shots.  Like many other GPS systems, the Sonocaddie v300 also has a scoring feature to track your game and score.  However, Sonocaddie has taken this feature much further.  Not only can you see total score, greens in regulation, fairways hit and number of pars and birdies.  The unit will store up to 30 courses in internal memory.  Thousands of courses are available for download for a $29 yearly membership.

The Garmin Approach G5 looks more like an iPhone than a golf gps device.  The unit is sleek and the and feels incredible solid.  The screen provides a bright, clear image and is one of the few handheld gps units with a touchscreen.  Best of all the gps unit is waterproof and the interface is very user friendly.

Another great feature of the Garmin Approach G5 is that it is ready to go out of the box.  There is no need to update firmware or download course data.  Just throw in a couple of AA's and go golfing.  The preloaded courses also mean that you don't need to spend another $30 on a membership to download courses.

The Upro is Callaway Golf's first entry into the golf gps device race.  The super bright color screen typically grabs your attention first.  The large and colorful screen is great for the aerial course photos and flyovers.  These flyovers play at the beginning of each hole and give you a bird's eye view of the entire hole.  This feature takes all doubt out of the appropriate landing area and where any hazards may be hiding.  Callaway has also used satelite locking technology that allows for a much faster startup time.  They also have the patent pending SmartView Technology which automatically rotates your device Upro gps view to display the most appropriate view to your location on the hole.
